In the preparation to that he left his Nandi (The Bull which He used to travel) at Pahalgam (Bail gaon). He released Moon from his hairs (Jataon) at Chandanwari. He released his snakes at the banks of Lake Sheshnag. Lord Shiva decided to leave his sin Ganesha at Mahagunas Parvat (Mahaganesh Hill). Lord Shiva left five elements at the back at Panjtarni including earth, Water, Air, Fire and Sky which make a living being.
Shiva is the lord of all these elements.
